Nabel Park Sign Unveiling This Friday

The sign unveiling at Chestnut Hill Park, naming it Susan Nabel Park at Chestnut Hill, is this Friday at 4:00pm. Susan Nabel was a representative of District 20 from 2013 to late March of this year, and previously represented the district between 1998 and 2000. From 2000 to 2009, she served on the Board of Education.
New Bench at Scofieldtown Park, Donated by NSA
A new park bench, donated by NSA, was recently installed at Scofieldtown Park. One long-time NSA board member asked, “Looks great, who is handling the reservations?” 😉

The Friends of the Ferguson Author Series welcomes Pulitzer Prize-winning author Dr. Siddhartha Mukherjee to the Main Library Tuesday, September 12. The New York Times bestselling nonfiction writer, oncologist and cancer researcher will discuss his latest book, The Song of the Cell: An Exploration of Medicine and the New Human. The conversation will be moderated by Dr. Siobhan Dolan, Chair of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Stamford Health.
Tickets: $35 for general admission and $25 for Friends members. Light refreshments will be served. All guests will receive a copy of The Song of the Cell. General admission tickets also include a Friends of the Ferguson Library membership through December 2023.
