I am writing to update the 2 neighborhood associations, District Representatives, and interested residents who have contacted to me to send you the attached rendering of the Chestnut Hill Park Playground. Please forward as you would like to let residents get an idea of what is coming. Please note that he equipment has been ordered, and therefore the colors and equipment pieces can no longer be changed. While the rendering below accurately depicts the equipment, the color of the safety surface is actually a beige/green mix. It also does not include the fencing around the 1-5 year-olds play area and other site features.
At this time, the contractor is scheduled to begin the work the week of October 9th. Weather permitting, we would like the project to be substantially complete before the end of the year.
And while I have your attention, I would also like to notify you that the City will be installing 2 tennis courts in Scofieldtown Park. As you may recall, the courts are included in the 2014 master plan for the park. Work may begin on them as soon as October of this year.
