5/10/17. According to a message today from State Representative Livvy Floren, “The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a project consisting of the removal of the temporary water transmission line installed along the Merritt Parkway (Route 15) southbound in New Canaan and Stamford will begin Tuesday, May 9, 2017 and will end Friday, June 9, 2017.
The project consists of removing the temporary transmission pipe and restoring the landscaping in the grass and wooded area. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday through Friday) on Rt.15 SB between Exit 36 (Route 106, Old Stamford Road) and Exit 35 (Route 137, High Ridge Road).
Motorists can expect to see crews working in the grass and wooded areas along this corridor. No lane closures or shifts are expected on Route 15.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule might become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
