The North Stamford Association invites members to an exclusive mayoral forum featuring Democratic incumbent Mayor Caroline Simmons and Republican candidate Nicola Tarzia. This is a unique opportunity to meet the candidates in an intimate setting and discuss the issues that matter most to North Stamford residents—from neighborhood quality of life to citywide priorities. The candidates will take questions from our members, followed by a short meet and greet.
Connecticut 2025 Municipal Elections

In addition to electing a new mayor, Stamford citizens will have the opportunity to elect new members to the Board of Representatives, Board of Finance, Board of Education, Town Clerk, and Constable. Here are some links and helpful info:

Award-winning memoir writer Gabi Coatsworth, author of Love’s Journey Home, returns to share strategies and tips on starting to write a memoir and how to restart one that’s stalled.
In this three-week class, you’ll learn the best ways to get your memories on the page, why writing badly is a great way to get started, and what to include and exclude. Bring your questions, some paper, and your favorite writing instrument.
Suitable for beginners and experienced writers.
Attendance required for all three sessions.
Registration required; registering for session one will register you for all three sessions.

Third Thursday Walks and Talks at the Bartlett

About the Third Thursdays series:
A series led by Bartlett Education team members, each “walk and talk” will focus on a specific theme or section of the Bartlett, encouraging a deeper relationship with some of the special trees, plants, and animals that live and grow at the Bartlett.
Topics explored may be history, arboriculture, plant culture, and geology or wildlife habitats and behaviors. As the series title indicates, this is a program for the curious! No special knowledge is required, but walking shoes and property attire are highly recommended.
Registration is not required for members but is encouraged. Non-members: please register and pay online.

A Night Tour of the Hoyt-Barnum House

Have you booked your tour time for Hauntings and History at Hoyt-Barnum event on Thursday, October 30th? Tours are offered at 6, 7, and 8 pm. Besides learning about Stamford’s history and legends, you have the opportunity to see and even touch Colonial artifacts! Have you seen a spinning wheel in-person? How about a bee keep?
