11/17/17. The North Stamford Association is keeping a close eye on the plans for a senior resident development, to include assisted living and senior condominiums, on the Baer Property off High Ridge Road and Interlaken Road. The 70+ acre property is bound by three streets; High Ridge Road/Compo Drive to the west, Interlaken Road to the north, and Newfield Avenue to the east. The proposal calls for using 25-30 acres for construction with the balance of the property returned to the city for park use. Approximately 150 units of dense housing is being proposed. The developer, Coldwell Banker Commercial has made a presentation of their early plans to our board of directors. Many NSA Board Directors have toured the property and we are presently compiling a formal list of questions and concerns. We will keep you posted on news as it evolves.
