12/20/16. Thank you for visiting the website for the North Stamford Association (NSA). The NSA works diligently to monitor issues impacting North Stamford, such as blighted properties and land use proposals that conflict with our zoning laws. We also communicate with police, fire, and other city departments on issues of critical life safety in North Stamford. Our new website and Facebook page are now being updated with timely issues of concern and we are ready to receive your input. The NSA Board of Directors maintains a strong presence in our Government Center and works the phones and emails on your behalf.
In 2017, the NSA looks to build its membership ranks to have an even stronger voice on behalf of the residents of North Stamford and your participation is as critical this year as ever before. We encourage you to join the NSA or renew your membership in order to give a voice to those concerned about issues to maintain and enhance quality of life in North Stamford. The NSA is now scheduling opportunities to participate in member only educational and interactive events to keep you informed, share our progress, encourage your thoughts and ideas, and demonstrate the benefits of membership. Join now or renew your membership to guarantee participation.
The NSA is committed to increasing communication with and between its members and I encourage you to provide us with your feedback on an ongoing basis so we are better equipped and informed regarding issues of concern to you and your family. Member emails sent to info@northstamfordassoc.org are read promptly and responses initiated in a timely manner. We will continue to be vigilant by taking action when required to uphold our mission statement. Our charge:
- To act as your advocate to protect zoning integrity/property values, improve education, promote communications among residents, and to maintain the natural beauty of our community;
- To monitor Stamford city boards including finance, education, and representatives to make sure the interests and appropriate tax rates for North Stamford are met and adhered to;
- To be in regular contact with our elected officials and city staff regarding resident concerns.
- To keep our members informed on topics critical to North Stamford via emails, our web site www.northstamfordassoc.org, our 06903 North Stamford News newsletter, Facebook, and other communication tools.
In the coming year, we will keep a careful watch for challenges to the above mission in the form of proposed development, traffic flow, city service allocations, and tests to our zoning. Your membership dues will allow the NSA to work on your behalf by retaining and paying for the services of lawyers, subject matter experts and other professionals. I ask you to please join or renew your membership via this website and to encourage a friend or neighbor to do the same. You ARE the voice of North Stamford and together we are strong!
